There are moments in life that change everything.

For me, that moment came with a diagnosis: dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease.

Like so many others living with a rare disease, I found myself navigating uncertainty, learning to adapt to a body that didn’t always cooperate, and searching for people who truly understood what I was experiencing.

Then something incredible happened.

I found a community.

People from all over the world who understood the exhaustion, the uncertainty, the sun sensitivity, the victories that others might never notice, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward.

That community inspired me.

It reminded me that although our diseases may be rare…

We are not alone.

That is why I created Made 4 Rare.

Not simply to make apparel.

But to create something people could wear with pride.

A reminder that every story matters.

A reminder that every person deserves hope.

A reminder that every purchase can make a difference.

Our mission is simple.

As Made 4 Rare grows, my dream is to help support dermatomyositis research, raise awareness, and build a community where people feel seen, encouraged, and understood.
